Permanent house-orchestra at Bill Gates’ cocktail-parties? Nope. Even though the name spells out jet-set and swelling wallets, it isn’t millions, the band from Aarhus in Denmark, Us With Millions, brags about – but instead an engaging indie rock, inspired by artists such as Ryan Adams, The Twilight Singers and Band Of Horses.
The band was formed in 2001 between friends and foes, farmers and small town-rednecks, in the middle of Jutland, by the three high school friends Martin Pedersen, Jeppe Revsbech and Bo Christensen, and the straightforward provincial town-atmosphere has been a source of inspiration for the three blokes since the very beginning.
“Indierock as played in the countryside” is what Us With Millions calls their music, with a discrete hint to their rural upbringing and noticeable love for country-reminiscences, that comes to show in the melodic rock which is the sound of Us With Millions.
