Hi there you juvenile delinquent music-lovers!
This last weekend we did the final recordings for our brand new songs! Mixing and mastering is going on just as this is being written - and in about one weeks time we will put a song or two out on our Myspace...
The recording sessions have been very intense and we are immensely satisfied with the result - we can't wait to share it with you! During the recordings we have realized that the best whistler in UWM is named Dame-Hans and the least talented frisbee-player is called Bo hvordan-kaster-I-så-hårdt? Christensen.
Okay, I think this is all for now! We hope you will devote some of your time listening to what we have devoted some of ours to.
Have a good one... - UWM.

Photos from session in Feedback
A lot of legendary sound has been recorded between the wood grains in the Feedback studio in Århus; Gnags, Thomas Helmig, De Nattergale, TV2, Bamse and Zamfir, but also a bit more, should we say, 'modern' artists: Under Byen, Peter Sommer and Carpark North.
Us With Millions is joining this list of legendary Danish bands, as we are in the progress of recording new material in Feedback these days. We've hooked up with producer Lasse Lakken, with whom we've done some serious rockin' shit the last days. Up next is dubs, then mix, and finally mastering. Anyhow; here's a couple of snapshots from the first session in Feedback last week. Enjoy:
Martin is laying down the cue-bass...
... and doing some minor adjustments with Lasse afterwards. The bass is pumping this time.
Bo cought in a moment of bliss.
Jeppe is laying down those toe-tapping drum-tracks. What really gets his dick hard, is when the drum goes boom-boom, as one Lars Ulrich once said.
Bo in fromt of the amps used for the guitar-recordings. His eyes are saying: "Try and outdo this!".

The Tactician under a blue sky
Besides drinking too many beers, listening to great music, and getting a neck injury, we had the pleasure to make a radio appearance at the festival radio during this year's Roskilde Festival.
We talked about the band and did an acustic version of 'The Tactician', which we are rehearsing on this picture taken in our humble camp. A little Kodak moment for you guys...

"Band of the Week" at Mymusic.dk!
As the almost legendary Danish sports commentator, Flemming Toft, would say: "Huttelihut!!"
Mymusic.dk -- the largest website for Danish upcoming bands -- has been so kind to pick us out as "Band of the Week" this week. Ain't that sweet? Oh yes, indeed!
Go and read the excellent review right here:

Also a huge thanks to you all you lovely people who attended our show at Vesterbro Festival, Copenhagen, last Friday. We had a great time and it was simply thrilling to see many unfamiliar faces among the crowd. Don't hesitate to drop by next time!
Speaking of Vesterbro, we hope to put up a few pictures from the event in a couple of days, so stay tuned, buddy.
Much love

When studio calls...
Hi boys & girls,
We're spending a lot of time these days at our humple rehersal squad, and there are a lot of good reasons for this. One of them, obviously, is due to our gig at Vesterbro Festival next Friday, which we're looking very much forward to, but there is another good reason, as well...: we will soon be heading into the studio to record a bunch of greeeeat new songs!
The sessions are going down in the beginning of August, and we're really thrilled to tell you that former Tiger Tunes-member Lasse Lakken has agreed to take good care of the production. In case you haven't already heard his work yet, go listen to such great acts as The Late Parade and 1 2 3 4.
We'll tell you more about the sessions later, but for now: don't forget to drop by Vesterbro Festival next Friday and get a sneak peek of the new tunes. You won't regret it, aight!

A snapshot from Apparatet
Although the picture isn't exactly shot by Anton Corbijn, we thought we wanted to give you a glimpse of our show at Apparatet last Thursday, taken from a good friend's mobile phone -- it's a Nokia, I believe...
Oh, the guy in the white shirt tuning his guitar is the rather amazing Ask Kjærgaard, who helps us from time to time, playing the licks which are beyond Bo's technical guitar-abilities...
We had a great time, by the way!

UWM is down with Beirut
Looking forward to Roskilde? Well, here's a guy whose concert you simply won't miss. His name is Zach Condon, but he's maybe better known as Beirut, releasing one heck of a debut album last year, entitled "Gulag Orkestar".
Imagine yourself being locked up with Rufus Wainwright, Sufjan Stevens, and a bunch of balkan instruments. Well, there you go: Beirut.
The young American -- he's only 20 years old -- knows a compelling and blissfull melody when he hears it, so check him out here: myspace.com/beruit.
And at Roskilde of course!

It's gonna be great, so don't hesitate showing up! We'll promise you sweet, sweet indierock, oh, and we've got some new tunes ready for you. How 'bout that!?
It's all going down at 8.30 PM. Meanwhile, drop by this site: myspace.com/apparatet.

Pictures from Fabriken
Although it's a while ago, we thought we wanted to show you a couple of pictures from our gig at Fabriken in April, taken by photographer Jacob Christensen Ravn. Can you sense the energy? Bo's stage-excesses are inspired by R.A.T.M.-guitarist Tom Morello and former wrestling-superstar Tatanka. At least with his own words...
UWM digs The National
Here's this week's CD-recommendation from Us With Millions:
In case it isn't alreay playing in your iPod, you really should go out and get the new album, 'Boxer', from the magnificent New Yorker five-piece The National. It's simply amazing!
A cool and somewhat dark mixture between folk and alternative rock. Like Nick Cave, Arcade Fire, and Tindersticks throwing a party together.
Check out a couple of the new songs at their myspace-site: myspace.com/thenational.
Oh, and by the way: They're playing Roskilde this year!

Recording promo
Here's a few pictures from the recording of our first promo-CD:
Our friend Rebeque dé Grü dropped by the studio to lay down some human beatbox for the song 'The Tactician'.
Jeppe laying down the drumtrack for 'Sailor Song'. Needless to say it was hot.
Martin bought new high-quality bass strings during the recordings.
Bo is singing - or waiting to sing.
No need for words here...
Bo is giving directions while Ole Gundahl is working the mixing-desk.
